As you can see, the leading title has changed a bit, my son suggested that I was after all not barking mad, but totally off-the wall, deranged.
Today was a cardio day. It started with a headache and hence a reason to not work out, so I delayed..... Eventually though, I got up and did what I dreaded # 1 - I took the before picture!!!
It was indeed a shocker.. two years ago, from lots and lots of running, I weighed 130 pounds, in kilograms, that’s 58 kg. Slowly but surely, with the unwitting aid of strong antihistamines (believe it or not!!) and an unflinching appetite, lack of selfcontrol, I have gained a nice 24 pounds and started running a lot less. So this morning I pulled the scales at a whopping 154 pounds (thats 69 kg).
Well, it was enough to get things started. I had my prescribed breakfast of oats and some Almond milk. Xylitol for sweetening. I then did what I dreaded #2 - an hour later, I hit the treadmill for a steady hour run and clocked about 5.5 miles (just over 8km). In summer I will go back to running on the road, but now its icy and there's about a foot of snow on the ground. I live in Canada after all.
I am vegetarian and decided for this duration, to get some proteins from chicken and fish - I cannot face egg whites 3 times a day, and I dont believe tofu so often is a good idea either.
Anyway, this evening I am all warm and rosy... Now its Monday morning early that waits. And for those that dont know: I hate getting up early. So, stay tuned.
Oh yes... I will not be uploading the before picture just yet.
